Giving Back to the Community

As a club, one of the things we take the most pride in, is our work to give back to the community.  We volunteer our time and give donations to many local charities.  This page highlights just some of the of our club's community giving and involvement.

We donate a portion of our proceeds from our All Ford Car Show each year to Meals on Wheels.

Since 1970 the Meals on Wheels People has provided a nutritional and social lifeline for seniors through 34 meal sites in Multnomah, Washington and Clark counties and Meals on Wheels delivery to homebound seniors. The nonprofit organization serves and delivers 5,000 meals every weekday and more than 1 million meals annually. To find a meal site near you or to register for Meals on Wheels, visit mealsonwheelspeople.org or call 503.736.6325.

Meals on Wheels provides meals on a donation basis, and encourages recipients to donate toward the cost of their meals as they are able. View the up-to-date directory of their meal site locations, including those that offer ethnic meals.

For general nutritional assistance, there are several emergency programs. The Oregon Food Bank, for example, distributes free food boxes, hot meals, and other nutrition-related goods and services.

We donate a portion of our proceeds from our All Ford Car Show each year to PAVE.

Founded in 2010 by experienced service dog trainer and military mom Michelle Nelson, PAVE’s mission is to provide custom-trained service dogs for Veterans free of charge.

Service dogs have the incredible ability to change lives. This is something that Dr. Michelle Nelson has learned in over a decade of training and placing service dogs. As she gained qualifications in professional dog training and clicker training, she was inspired by the service dogs’ wonderful ability to change people’s lives for the better through their trained tasks. Like many other young people, Michelle’s son joined the military and volunteered to go to Iraq for one year. This was the catalyst for the creation of PAVE; an organization that trains service dogs specifically for Veterans.
